Megan Francis
Clinic Manager
Megan grew up in White City, Saskatchewan, and was a horse nut from a young age. At the age of 14, Megan and her mom attended a horse sale while her dad was working a night shift, and they purchased a horse. This purchase led to many more horses and Megan began breeding horses shortly thereafter. After high school, she attended University for a short while in the Pre-vet program but decided she wanted to be working with animals immediately, so she instead attended Lakeland College and completed the Horsemanship course. Megan now breeds multiple foals a year and has competed in the US and Canada with horses she has raised, winning several National Championships. Megan also has owned many types of livestock, including sheep, cattle, pigs, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, and even a llama. Megan lives 2 miles from Sherwood Animal clinic near Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan with her 2 kids, Emmet and Susie, her father Pat, her “husbun” Bob, a mini Rex Rabbit, and Bella, a Lionhead cross.
